The Process

Request Evaluation

Photographs can be sent via email to [email protected]. Please be sure to include all of your contact information. We will review the information and you will receive a timely response.

If you prefer to stop in and bring your merchandise, one of our specialists will examine your property with you. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Consignment & Commission Rates

Qualifying merchandise can be dropped off any day Monday through Friday from 9AM to 4PM, except for a sale day. See below for our standard commission rates for consignments dropped off to us. Commission rates and fees for pick-ups and other services may vary and will be given on an individual basis.

Furniture/ Modern/ Art / Glassware:

  • $100 & Up = 15% - Trade Rate (Delivered to us)
  • $0 – $99 = 20% - Trade Rate (Delivered to us)

BoxLots / Outside Furnitures:

  • 50% - Trade Rate (Delivered to us)

Other Notes:

  • There will be a $10 per item disposal fee for items that do not sell.
  • Estate pick up commission rates will vary

Promotion

If we have deemed your merchandise appropriate for our biweekly in person auctions, it will be set up in our showroom on display to be previewed before auction day. We currently have over 20,000 registered bidders, some of which travel from all over the country to attend auctions regularly. Both in person and online auctions are advertised across our social media platforms to our 20,000+ followers. Merchandise deemed appropriate for our online auctions are pictured, cataloged and uploaded to liveauctioneers.com to be advertised worldwide.

Proceeds

Payment for uncataloged merchandise can be picked-up or mailed, however specified by the consignee, on the Thursday following the sale. Payment for cataloged merchandise can be mailed or picked up 2 weeks following the sale.

S & S Auction offers sellers the option of competitive outright purchase. Justly effective for entire estates or a single item, outright purchase allows heirs and trustees the advantage and convenience of guaranteed and secured payment. S & S Auction is willing to pay a premium for quality fine art, 20th c. modern design, and antiques from private sources.

On site Auction or Tag Sale

Call our office to explore and discuss the possibility of a tag sale or an on site auction at your home.

Estate Clean Out

S & S Auction clean out service has proven an invaluable tool for countless estate executors, real estate agents, and downsizing homeowners. Once our experts have addressed the disposition of your valuable, S & S Auction will clear the residence of all agreed upon merchandise or recommend a trusted partner.

Evaluation Request

The selling process starts here! S&S Auction online evaluation form makes it easy to get your items evaluated for free. Save yourself the time and hassle of a face to face evaluation. Simply fill out the evaluation form below, including any history, research or other details you may have about your item. Photos can be emailed directly to [email protected]. An S&S Auction professional will get back to you promptly with an opinion of sellability and an estimated value. Our next success story could be hidden in YOUR attic!
